I often hear the question being asked… “Why would I hire a Wedding Planner or Day-of Coordinator?”
So. Many. Reasons. But my number one reason? As the bride you should be 100% in the moment on your wedding day.
After all of the hours, work and effort you have put into your wedding day, it’s time for you to relax and enjoy every single moment – absolutely stress free! Having a planner does not mean that you won’t be involved in the fun details; rather, it means you can pass off all of the small, less-exciting, but still time-consuming stuff to someone else. Someone else who won’t let you down. Besides, if you are anything like me and have been planning your wedding since you were 6 years old, you will want to enjoy every minute leading up to the wedding and on the day-of! The last thing you need is to be dealing with drooping flowers, dodgy seating, or dead-late caterers on your big day.
Of course, you could rely on friends or family for all this, but hiring a professional is really your best bet. Here’s why:

  1. You need a “Go To” person. Why not let that someone be exclusive of the wedding party and guests? Allow your family and friends to enjoy this special day along with you.
  2. Your Coordinator will know the inside scoop about the best vendors to choose. As the wedding industry continues to grow, it means there are more and more vendors to choose from. A good planner can narrow down your choices and find the best vendors within your budget.
  3. Your Coordinator will help you stick to your timeline. The timeline is a very important part of your day, your vendors rely on this, as do your wedding party, your caterer and you and your partner.
  4. The Bride gets to have a life! They say, on average, most brides work on their wedding between 20-25 hours a week… that’s the equivalent of a part time job (without any pay, I might add!). Need I say more?
  5. A Wedding Planner will bring your vision to reality. Take it from me, you will want the centerpieces placed the way you envisioned it and you will want to make sure your photographer doesn’t miss your first dance.
