Avalon tents go big at this year’s IPE

That’s what it takes to set up for the 2015 Interior Provincial Exhibition!
Opening day for the IPE is still more than two weeks off. Join in all the fun from September 2-September 6, but here at Avalon Event Rentals we’re already full steam ahead.

Tent 1 of 45 went up on Monday, 16 days prior to opening day, with 1,600 square feet ready and waiting for the Iron Chef competition. Over the coming two weeks, we will be setting up an additional 44 tents, covering around 35,000 square feet of what we like to think of as fun central aka the IPE grounds. (Fortunately, we have over 80,000 square feet of tenting to offer, so 35,000 is mere child’s play!)
With Avalon providing tenting for the entire event, our setup ranges from the smaller, simpler vendor tents, to the Kids’ World Petting Zoo and Moo’ternity tents (every mom needs a comfy place to bring their baby into the world - especially cows), to the larger, more involved setups such as the Iron Chef tent and the ‘extreme’ tenting needed for the grandstands. And, by ‘extreme’ tenting we do mean ‘extreme’: extraordinary measures and machines - like booms and crane
trucks - are needed to set all this up! (You can see what we mean by ‘extreme tenting’ over here.)
While we have to admit that the IPE setup is hard work, we love it! As one of our biggest setups of the year, it provides us with tons of thrills and calories burned. And we can’t wait to see the end result of all our efforts: thousands of Exhibition-goers having a great time, under cover of Avalon tents.
